Essential Scottish Medicine

Whisky, of course. Especially in a hot toddy. Here is an excellent recipe, proving that the Guardian has its uses.

If all you have in the house is single malt--and it's your own single malt or you have obtained permission from the owner--go ahead and use the single malt. In some Scottish homes, single malt is all there is: bottles and bottles of it.
